STATUS: Single. He actually lived with someone for five years and that, to him, was the same as a marriage.

OCCUPATION: Criminal attorney.
WEALTH: He does fine.
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: His body is marked with a few scars, although none that is too remarkable and he has no tattoos. His body and facial piercings from when he was in high school are all gone and now he wears his hair short, as opposed to when he was younger.
CLOTHING STYLE: Luke’s dressing style hasn’t changed much over the years as he still prefers t-shirts, casual shirts and jeans on his spare time, but you will generally see him dressed in fine suits as any top lawyer should.
QUIRKS: Looking out the closest window of every new place he steps into, drumming his fingers on any surface.

DISLIKES: Republican judges, bugs, onions, grocery shopping, high-pitched laughter, insanity pleas, self-righteous prosecutors, the press, mornings, plea deals.
STRENGTHS: Determination, excellent memory, observant.
WEAKNESSES: Irreverent, work-a-holic, outspoken women.
FEARS: Being completely wrong in the end and ultimately defending the actual devil, cockroaches because thos fuckers are smart.
GOALS: Hopefully, learning something about human nature. Settling down eventually.
SECRETS: He had a client he helped walk free by proving he was innocent. In reality, Luke knows he was guilty.

PERSONALITY: Luke always has a comment for everything. Every situation. Every person. His sense of humour might not go appreciated by most and yet, it's really hard for him to hold back and keep his remarks to himself. He’ll scoff, clear his throat, snicker or snort and cover it up with a coughing fit if you're being stupid. He’ll want to help you by pointing it out. He swears a lot too, quite an expressive person, he'll tell you exactly how he feels or, better yet, show you. Not that in the past that hasn’t gotten him his ass kicked once or twice. But he’s just opinionated and frank and, really, that’s a quality to be valued in this day and age. Luke is very practical and proactive. He despises people who sit around whining about things instead of actually doing something to fix it. Always the hyperactive one, Luke was constantly coming up with ways to deal with a problem and immediately applying them. Don’t come to him with a problem if you only need a shoulder to cry on. Problems have solutions. Period. Luckily, he’s learned to meditate on things more instead of acting out of pure instinct. In the past he would constantly get into trouble because of his recklessness and impulsive behaviour. Now Luke is a bit more capable of controlling his temper and thinking before acting (not before speaking, though; that’s still an issue). He’s observant and possesses an excellent memory, all of this making him a quick learner. He’s firm and sometimes harsh and to most he can appear to be a right royal bastard, but his friends and family know better than anyone that he's loyal as hell. He might not be the warmest or most affectionate of sons but he loved his mother, no matter how much he complains about her. They say you can judge a man by how he treats his inferiors instead of his equals, but Luke treats everyone the same. No matter who you are, you're still going to get verbally abused. It is often a problem with his superiors and oftentimes Luke has been sent to the corner on time out, for which he's had to learn when to back off and take a punishment like a man. He’s capable of great compassion, but very careful not to show it much. So, try not to disappoint him because after that there's no return to grace. And Luke knows how to be intimidating when he wants to.

YOU CAN'T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT

RELATIVES: His mother, Lane, and his stepfather, James, as well as two stepsisters.
RELATIONSHIPS: He loves his mother but would much rather stay as far away from her as possible. Honestly, he thinks she's batshit. Curiously, she remarried a psychiatrist, with whom Luke is very close. His stepsisters, not so much, however; they only ever call when they need something.
BACKGROUND:

• Luke's mother was never the smartest cookie. She got pregnant young, destroying her own mother's beauty queen dreams and efforts.
  
• It was no surprise to anyone that Luke's father didn't stick around and that he has mostly raised by a dumb mother and angry grandparents.
  
• It was no surprise either that, with his amount of energy, Luke would give his mother hell the way he did. He was always a curious boy, a very fast learner and exceptionally extroverted, always surrounded by new friends.
  
• Cunning and vindictive, Luke never backed down, even as a kid, while being reprimanded or chastised, constantly talking back or sneaking out of the house when grounded. Now, he loved his mother dearly and even more so his grandparents, but luke had a problem with authority that translated into bigger things as he grew older.
  
• More than once his mother had to be called down to the police station to pick him up after being caught shoplifting and vandalizing public and private property with his small posse.
  
• It didn't help that his mother was threatening to remarry, have them move and shift his whole existence.
  
• But it turned out that it all came together for Luke to figure out his future. The amount of time spent in a cell at the police station, the contact with other small time offenders, stories heard from the cops and the arrested men themselves carved itself into Luke's mind without him even knowing it.
  
• Slowly, his relationship with his stepfather, a psychiatrist, changed into a positive one and began shaping Luke. The man became a helping hand, often bailing Luke out of trouble without letting his mother know, lending a hand and an ear and financial security.
  
• Luke knew he wanted to go to law school even before graduating high school, much to his mother's pleasure.
  
• He had become profoundly interested in the way his stepfather saw the world and his ideas about good and evil, ultimately taking the path to criminal justice.
  
• Generally seen as a bastard for playing devil's advocate, Luke is content with keeping up this image by claiming he does it all for the money when in reality, he's obsessed with the works of the mind and understanding criminal offenders, murderers, rapists, the way their brains work combined with upbringing and why people in the end turn to evil.
  
• He grew up in california, but moved to New York City almost as soon as he finished high school.
